Install Auric Artisan

Install it. Then lose the connection

Auric Artisan runs as an installable web app, and it can keep its shell, libraries, palettes and core tools in this browser's cache. Prepare it once while you are online and the workspace keeps working when you are not.

Profile

How much to keep

Keep Auto on a normal machine. Choose a smaller profile when the device is short of storage, memory, network or battery — caching the whole library onto a phone with 2 GB free is not a favour to anyone.

Offline workflow

Three steps, then you can close the Wi-Fi

The browser stores the shell, libraries, palettes, datasets and core tool code, so the workspace keeps going when the connection does not.

  1. Prepare

Press Prepare offline version while you are still connected. The service worker fills the cache in the background — you can keep working while it does.

  2. Confirm

Check readiness and storage. Granting persistent storage matters: without it the browser is free to evict the cache the next time the device is short of space.

  3. Work offline

Open cached libraries and tools straight from this browser. Palettes and exports you make stay on the device.

Every modern device

Where it runs

The same package runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, iOS and iPadOS. What differs is the install button: whether a browser offers one is the browser's decision, not ours. Offline cache and local storage work anywhere with a service worker and a secure origin.

  • WindowsDesktopInstall from Edge or Chrome, cache tools offline, and use local storage, files, clipboard and WebGL.
  • macOSDesktopRuns in Safari, Chrome and Edge with offline cache, local storage, icons and launcher support where offered.
  • LinuxDesktopWorks in Chromium-family browsers and any Firefox-capable service worker context, with local caches and browser storage.
  • AndroidMobileInstall from Chrome or a compatible browser, then keep palettes and core tools ready in the browser cache.
  • iOS and iPadOSMobileAdd to Home Screen from Safari. Offline cache and storage work, within the limits mobile Safari places on them.
  • Other devicesWebAny modern secure browser with service workers can run the PWA and cache supported routes locally.
