HSV
About HSV
HSV, also called HSB, is the model behind most color pickers: value is the brightest channel, and saturation is how far the others fall below it. It shares HSL's hue, but its saturation and value are different numbers.
How this page writes it
- Written as hsv(h s% v%), a notation rather than CSS, which has no hsv() function.
- Reads hsv() and hsb(), or three numbers in the field.
Watch for
- The same saturation means different things: hsv(0 50% 100%) is a light pink, while hsl(0 50% 100%) is white.
