About LCH
LCH is CIELAB in polar form: chroma is the distance from gray and hue is the angle around it. Like lab() in CSS, lch() uses the D50 white point.
How this page writes it
- Chroma is the square root of a² plus b², and hue is the angle of b over a in degrees, both to two decimal places; a gray has no hue.
Watch for
- LCH hue and OKLCH hue are different angles for the same color, so a hue from one does not carry over to the other.
